JAMMU, Feb 7: Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) activists here today staged a protest demonstration under the leadership of their president, Sunil Dimple.
The protesters expressed resentment against PWD (R&B) and JMC for the worst condition of Ambphala-New Plot-Janipur road.
Addressing the protesters Dimple gave a 72 hours ultimatum to PWD (R&B) and JMC to blacktop the dilapidated road and construct footpaths along it else MSJK will start a mass agitation.
He said that the footpath and drains along the road were damaged by Smart City projects.
The MSJK leader claimed that PWD (R&B) and JMC have done substandard blacktopping work on Ambphala-New Plot-Janipur road as the road washed away with first rain and the contractors ran away.
“The roads in Ward numbers 16, 17, 18, 25, 35 and 36 are prone to accidents as the blacktopping on these have been damaged,” he maintained adding that the roads at Sarwal, Rehari, Bakshi Nagar, Top Sherkhania, Patoli, Talab Tillo, Shakti Nagar, Krishna Nagar and Reshamghar are exposing poor work by PWD (R&B).
Happy Kumar, Jagdish Raj, Manjeet Anand, Sachin Soi, Sat Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Swarn Lal Verma, Narender Kumar and others were also present in the protest.
