MP demands start of Jammu-Haridwar train

JAMMU, Nov 30: BJP Member of Parliament (MP), Jugal Kishore Sharma today raised his voice in Lok Sabha and demanded the start of new train from Jammu to Haridwar pilgrimage.
The MP said that Haridwar is very pious place for pilgrims from all over India where people from the entire northern region pay regular visits especially on important days like Amavasyas and solar and lunar eclipses.
He further said that Hindu perform certain rituals of their departed dear ones at Haridwar but as of now only a single train Hemkund Express plies from Jammu to Haridwar.
Sharma said that Jammu-Haridwar Express was also started by the Ministry of Railways for Haridwar but it has been stopped at present.
He urge that a new train should be started from Jammu to Haridwar for pilgrims so that people should not face any kind of difficulty & rush while paying their regular visits from Jammu to Haridwar.
