KATHUA, Sept 20: A motorcyclist was knocked to death by a speedy truck at Dayalachak today. He has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Krishan Chand of Dingh Amb, Kathua.
Police said Sanjay was coming on his two -wheeler from Dingh Amb towards Dayalachak when a speedy truck bearing registration number PB 7A -7012 coming from Jammu towards Lakhanpur hit the bike and knocked down the youth. He was rushed to Hiranagar Sub District Hospital in a serious condition by police where the doctors declared him as brought dead.
The driver of the truck fled after the accident however, the truck was seized by police which also registered a case against the driver under Section 304 IPC. The dead body of the youth was handed over to family by police after autopsy for the last rites.
