SAMBA, Oct 9: One motorcyclist was killed while four others were injured in three separate road accidents in Samba district today. Besides, one youth committed suicide at Bari Brahmana in the same district.
According to reports an accident took place at Nud near Navodya Vidyalya School at around 17:45 hrs when one tipper bearing Registration Number JK14D 6882 from Samba was on its way to Mansar. It hit one motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK02BD 4489 resulting in on spot death of one motor cyclist and injuries to two others. The deceased was identified as Ranjeet Singh S/o Major Singh R/o Bupner Garh Nud Age 25 yrs. The other two motorcyclists namely Abay Kumar, 17, S/o unknown R/o Mansar and Yograj Singh, 16, S/o Sagar Singh R/o Nud, were Injured seriously. They were immediately shifted to District Hospital Samba after giving first aid there, they were later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu. The Samba police has started investigation in the case.
In another accident one motorcyclist was injured after his bike skidded off the road at Naka Chak. He was identified as Police Constable, Sunil Kumar S/o Bal Krishan of Bara and posted at DPL Samba. He was shifted to DH Samba and after giving the first aid later he was referred to GMCH, Jammu.
One more motorcyclist was injured after his bike was hit by an unknown vehicle at Jamoura in Samba district today. He was identified as Sushil Kumar, 25, S/o Ramesh Lal of Mananu.
He was shifted to DH Samba for treatment where from doctors later referred him to GMCH Jammu.
Meanwhile a youth committed suicide at his residence, House Number, 128, Ward Number, 4 Bari Brahmana at 1415 hours today. He was identified as Kavi Kumar, 30, S/o Chaman Lal. His dead body was shifted to CHC Ramgarh by Bari Brahmana Police which has also registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
