Kishtwar, Oct 9: Cricket League organized by Army at Kishtwar concluded today. The aim to organize the tournament was to promote positive environment in the region and to showcase the hidden sporting talent of locals.
A total of 54 teams from various schools and villages of remote area of Kishtwar participated in the tournament.
The final match was played between Friends XI Kishtwar and Ramban Warriors. After a competitive and hard-fought game, Ramban Warriors team won the final match by 61 runs.
The final match was witnessed by more than 600 spectators, officials from local administration and sarpanchs.
“Army will continue to organize more such events in future and continue with its effort to promote peace, prosperity and harmony in the region”, an Army spokesman said.
