Jammu, Aug 29: PDP president and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti’s mother Gulshan Ara and sister Dr Rubaiya Sayeed met her today at Chashmashahi resort in Srinagar, where she has been kept after her arrest since August 5.
Sources said first request for the meeting was received from Mehbooba’s daughter Sana in DC office Srinagar at 5 pm on August 27 and they were informed that no permission was required.
The concerned Superintendent facilitated the meeting, they added.
According to sources Dr Rubaiya Sayeed reached Srinagar at 4 pm yesterday and met Mehbooba today.
They said there has never been any restriction on family members’ meeting with Mehbooba.
