MENDHAR, Dec 7: A mosque was gutted in a fire incident at Sangiot in Gursai area of tehsil Mendhar last night.
Reports said during last mid night, Jamia Masjid at Sangiot, caught fire and within short span of time entire double storey complex was caught in huge flames. The Moulvi raised alarm and a large number of people rushed there. Gursai police also reached after some time. The people tried their best to contain the fire but major portion of the complex got extensively damaged in the incident. The cause of fire was not known but locals have demanded inquiry into the matter.
