More than 200 screened during cancer screening camp at Kathua

KATHUA, May 15: American Oncology Institute (AOI), ASCOMS Hospital Jammu today organized a free cancer screening and awareness camp in association with World Cancer Care at Royal Medicos near DC office Kathua.
In the camp, almost 200 patients were screened and examined by a team of oncology specialists including Dr Sujeet Bhat (Surgical Oncologist) and Dr Jagmohan Singh (Radiation Oncologist) from AOI Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Neeraj Bishnoi, Regional COO, AOI said, “Besides conducting screening tests at the camp, we wanted to educate and create awareness about early detection in the public. The key to surviving cancer is early diagnosis and prevention. With this camp, AOI aims to motivate people and urge regular screening. Those graced the occasion include Dr Rakesh Magotra (CMO Kathua), Dr Radha Krishan (DTO Kathua), Tilak Raj Bhagat (senior BJP leader) and Padam Dev Singh Jamwal (KOL). As part of the organizing team of the mega camp, Dr Mayank Puri (Facility Director AOI Jammu), Aditya Sabharwal, Regional Head (North) Marketing for AOI and Vigat Chandan, Ashutosh Gupta, Anil Raina, Abhishek Jamwal and Vickey Dhar were also present along with the nursing and medical team of AOI Jammu and World Cancer Care.
