JAMMU, Aug 18: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) has always remained on the frontline to fight for the cause of Kashmiri Pandits in respect of their social and political empowerment right from 1931 .This was stated by president ASKPC, Adv. Ravinder Raina in a meeting here, today.
He said community feels elevated the way Modi Government with Amit Shah as Home Minister succeeded in rectifying the mis-deeds of erstwhile Governments by scrapping Articles 370 and 35-A in a Constitutional way by passing it in both house of Parliament with thumping majority.
ASKPC congratulated and appreciated the Government of India for taking such bold decision for which whole nation was waiting for the last 70 years . No doubt , it is unbelievable to achieve greatest mile stone for Indian nation and Union Government is praise worthy for such unimaginable step. Raina appealed to the community members in general and community leaders in particular to have patience and not to be in rat race which may damage our cause in the long run.

It is needless to mention that it is prerogative of ASKPC being the premier organization to take on board all the community activist and intellectuals to have a consensus and help the Government in arriving at the decision for rehabilitation of the community with political empowerment, but at appropriate time till Government consolidates its security and administrative structure’’.
Dr T.K.Bhat, general secretary, ASKPC in his address while appreciating the bold decision of scrapping Articles 370 and 35A by Modi Government took a dig and condemned the so called Kashmiri Pandit intellectuals for voicing their concern against abrogation of Articles 370 and 35A . He said that the people who have only born in the Valley and have enjoyed lavish lives in different parts of the country are now exploiting the nation at the cost of Kashmir Pandits. ASKPC representing all Kashmiri Pandits across the Globe out rightly rejects their malafied intentions and is constrained to boycott such people who are hell bent upon to destroy the nationalist character of community, rather are blot for this peace loving community who have always sacrificed their interests for the nation and proved nationalists at all forms of the country.
