Modi preferred safety of countrymen: PK

JAMMU, Mar 29: Panun Kashmir (PK) Youth organised a Video Conference today to discuss and address issues arising out of the COVID-19 crisis in the country.
Panun Kashmir Youth convener, Sameer Bhatt organised the show via teleconferencing. The conference was held under the chairmanship of the president P K, Virender Raina and was attended by Kamal Bagati, general secretary (Org.), Upinder Koul, general secretary, Ashok Chrungoo, treasurer,B.L.Garyali, Vimla Chrungoo, convenor DOPK and Suneeta Koul, women rights activist.
Senior BJP and Kashmiri Pandit leader, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo was also invited to the conference.
Virender Raina, while complimenting the timely and wise decision of the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi said that such a decision can only be taken by a visionary leader of great caliber. This move of the Modi Government in view of the Corona Virus threat would stop the spread of the deadly virus and save our countrymen. Raina said that Modi chose the life of its countrymen over everything else and that shows his humane nature compared to many leaders worldwide who refused to enforce a lockdown as that would affect the economies of those countries.
Raina added that the arrangements made by the Government are excellent and “We can witness that people are getting their daily requirements without any problem. The way the whole country is mobilised shows a new and resurgent India that can’t be bogged down by any calamity”.
Kamal Bagati in his address said that the 21 days of lockdown period must be observed in letter and spirit in order to defeat the Corona Virus. He appealed to the student community to study on line and make best use of the time for their career ahead.
Upinder Koul, Ashok Chrungoo and Sameer Bhat also spoke on the occasion.
In his address BJP leader, Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo briefed the participants about his efforts for release of monthly ration and relief to both categories of displaced people of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that it was gratifying to note that the nation has, stood with the resolve of the Prime Minister and “Stay Home Stay Safe” has been recognised as the foremost doctrine of the current period. He appealed to the people to contribute to the PM’s Care Fund to enable the Government to combat the situation successfully. He also said that everybody needs to avoid rumors, loitering and wastage of resources. The whole nation is creating a history of sorts to lead the world and humanity out of a crisis unheard and unprecedented.
