KATHUA, Aug 27: Senior Congress leader and former MLA from Billawar, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma express his concern over the formal announcement of developing of 100 Smart Cities in country while a list of 99 smart cities has been declared today by the Government of India and the announcement concerning to finalization of Jammu and Kashmir state is still pending.
In a press statement here Dr Sharma said that the BJP -led Government at the Centre made tall promises to the people of Jammu and Kashmir in general and Jammu province in particular before elections but the main policy decisions of the both governments seem to be so confused and lack of will power to do justice with the people of Jammu province.
Dr Sharma alleged that the true face of Bhartiya Janta Party and its leadership has come to light by the actions and the policy adopted by this Government to implement various schemes and projects in the State particularly in Jammu province. The working style of the Government is compelling to the public to draw a conclusion that there is difference in between their sayings and actions. He asked BJP why the Jammu is missing from the list of smart cities declared by the Government of India?
“Is it another examination for the people of Jammu province to get the Jammu developed as Smart City like the struggle for AIIMS ?”, Dr Sharma asked.
