Modi Govt fails to protect lives of people: Ashok

SAMBA, May 26: Former MLA and Coordinator AICC Vichar Vibhag, Ashok Sharma has alleged that  Modi Government has failed to protect life and liberty of people of the State.
While addressing protest demonstration on `Vishwasghat Diwas’ here today  organized by  local unit of Congress Vichar Vibhag, former MLA said that unprovoked firing and killing of innocent civilians during cease fire by Pakistan is unfortunate.  It is a complete failure of foreign policy of the Union Government.
Sharma  said that four years of BJP Government has been marred by multiple corruption scandals, deep-rooted rural distress, rampant, un-employment, a sliding economy, shutting down of small and medium enterprises, unpardonable atrocities on Dalits/Adivasis/minorities, women and complete mis-governance.
The Cong leader further added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is guided more by rhetoric and jumlas, rather than meaningful delivering on the promises made to people of India. Every section of populace is up in arms against BJP Governments at the Centre and also in the states, for they sought people’s mandate based on absolute falsehood and deception.
Vinod Sharma,  former general secretary,  PCC said that Indian economy has been facing severe threat for last four years. Despite a favourable change in GDP numbers, India’s GDP is at a four year low. Exports are in free fall and manufacturing is down in key areas. Rupees has slided to astronomically low levels vis-à-vis American dollar. New Investments are in negative zone and stalled projects are close to 8 lakh crores.
Jatinder Bhagat, RS Bhatti, Sat Paul, BR Dubey, Satish Dutta, Yash Paul Sharma, Ram Singh, Munish Raja also address the protest Dharna.
