JAMMU, Jan 9: BJP’s OBCs Morcha organized a massive rally in support of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), 2019 from Indira Chowk to Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Chowk, here, today.
MP (Lok Sabha), Jugal Kishore Sharma along with BJP State general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi, former MLA, Rajesh Gupta, BJP All Morchas State Incharge, Munish Sharma, BJP OBC Morcha State president, Rashpaul Verma and other party leaders walked through the busy streets of the city to pledge their support towards CAA.
Jugal Kishore, while addressing the rally, said that CAA was a promise of all the great leaders of our nation since the partition of India in 1947 which included Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has fulfilled the promise that was made with the members of non-Muslim communities who chose to live in their native places in the established Islamic nation of undivided Pakistan.
Jugal emphasized that the promise was made only as the life saver, with the “Non-Muslim” residents of Islamic nations, that whenever they feel like sufferers of religious persecution or any type of atrocities based upon their religion, they can move to India and the then dispensation will assure them of their dignified life in the Indian territory. So this Act is the fulfillment of that promise, and hence, there is nothing to be cried upon.
Yudhvir Sethi, said that Congress is utterly misleading the nation by creating misconceptions in the naïve minds and this needs to be checked upon as the misconception is being fuelled to rip apart the fabric of India.
Rajesh Gupta, alleged that the real intention of Congress is to wage a civil war in the country so as to take political mileage.
Munish Sharma, asked all the BJP activists to actively reach the prominent civil society members to create the awareness on the subject matter.
Rashpaul Verma, in his address, said that the maximum population of the beneficiaries is the neglected one and we would be failing in our moral duty, if the Act had not been passed.
Morcha general secretaries Kewal Krishan Fotra, Brahmjyot Satti and Surjit Singh, secretary Lakhan Paul, spokespersons, Faqir Chand Sattia and Jagdish Pandey, distict presidents, Nittu Verma, Capt. (retd) Janak Raj Verma and Rajesh Dogra and others participated in the rally.
