Mobile phone thieves arrested

KATRA, July 21: Police has arrested two thieves and recovered eight stolen mobiles from their possession.
The accused, identified as Ajay Aggarwal of Kalpi Bridge Colony, Gwalior (MP) and Shiv Kumar Choudhary of Virat Nagar Nepal, were held while attempting to lift cell phones from bathing Ghat, Banganga. Both of them were working as labourer in the town.
The arrest was made by a Police party, led by SHO Katra, Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, during patrolling under the supervision of SDPO Dr Ashok Sharma and Addl SP Sumir Kotwal.
Both the accused have been arrested in case FIR number 104/2015 U/S 457/380/RPC at Police Station Katra.
Meanwhile, continuing it drive against liquor in the holy town, Katra Police arrested a bootlegger and seized 13 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession. The accused, identified as Mohan Lal of Ghordi Udhampur, was held from Main Bazar Katra.
Katra Police also arrested driver of a tipper for rash driving and thus causing death of a mule. The accused was identified as Sunil Kumar of Kakryal, driver of tipper number JK14C-3288.
