Muthi Church lane residents plea to JMC

JAMMU, July 21: The residents of Muthi near Church have demanded immediate renovation of the link road to the colony.
The people of the area have made an appeal to the JMC Commissioner to start the construction of road immediately on which the work was started some time back but abandoned after constructing few meters.
They said the people of the area are facing many hardships especially during the rainy season due to water logging on the road and lanes. They demanded that the entire road be constructed with drains on sides so that the rainy water finds a passage to flow properly without damaging the road and adjoining houses.
According to T N Bhat a social activist of the area many deputations have met the concerned authorities for last two years but to no avail. He said people face problems during rainy season as they have to walk in knee deep water. He said the school going children and females face more hardships in walking through this road especially during rainy season.
