SRINAGAR, June 22: Surinder Ambardar, Member Legislative Council, called on Governor N.N. Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here today.
Mr. Ambardar discussed with the Governor several matters relating to the timely implementation of rehabilitation, re-settlement and welfare schemes for Kashmiri Migrants. He also raised issues about the welfare of religious minorities living in the State.
The Governor urged Ambardar to devotedly pursue the efficient implementation of all development programmes relating to his area.
Meanwhile, Prof Mushtaq A. Siddiqi, Vice-Chancellor, Islamic University of Sciences & Technology, met Governor and informed him about the ongoing academic programmes and his plans to enhance the institution’s standing in the coming time.
The Governor advised the VC to take all required steps for making IUST a centre of excellence.
