DODA, DEC 17: President of Doda District Congress, Naresh Kumar Gupta (MLC) has expressed deep concerned over the alleged discriminatory attitude of Rural Development Department towards the Congress affiliated Panchayat Sarpanchs/Panchs and warned RDP/ACS’s and BDOs of the district to stop this attitude.
Various Sarpanchs/Penchs and workers called on Naresh Gupta and complained that they were being harassed by the Rural Development Department in releasing their payments under MGNREGA works during 2013-14, payments against NBA/SBA and IAY. They further regretted that their files were not being considered for months together thus forcing them to grease palms of the concerned officers.
After listening to their grievances, Naresh Gupta warned the concerned Officers of District Doda that if they do not modify their attitude and discriminatory policy towards the Congress affiliated Sarpanchs and Panchs, Congress will be forced to launch agitation against these officers.
Prominent among those, present on the occasion, included Mohd Ashraf Butt, Mohd Irshad, Sajad Ali Wani, Kulbushan, Irshad Hussain Khan, Shabir Ahmed Khan, Daya Krishan, Mohd Yaseen, Hans Raj Kotwal, Shive Kumar, Roshan Lal Bhagat, Chuni Lal Bhagat and Mohd Saleem Wani.
