MLC asks Govt to speed up relief work

RAJOURI, Sept 9: PCC spokesperson and MLC Ravinder Sharma has urged upon the State Government to speed up rescue and relief work to save the precious lives.
Mr Sharma who was camping in Lam area of Nowshera to monitor rescue operation said that there was heavy loss of lives and property of the people in the recent floods and rains. Most of roads have washed away. There is heavy loss of cattle, crops and other house hold goods.
The MLC appreciated the role of District Administration Rajouri and Army who has been working tirelessly in rescue and relief and stressed upon the need to speed up the relief work. He also appealed the Government to take up the matter regarding missing of dead bodies of marriage party members from Lam in Nowshera, with the Pakistani authorities. He said bodies might have flown down to PoK. The Congress legislator further demanded free ration for flood and rain affected people.
