MLA takes stock of public grievances

UDHAMPUR, July 17: MLA Ramnagar, R.S Pathania along with District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Nijraj Kumar today listened to people’s issues at series of public grievances camps held in rural areas of Ramnagar Tehsil.
The public grievances camps were held at Chhatrari, Chakkal, Gandh and Basantgarh of Ramnagar.
Various problems and demands were put forth by the people which included filling of vacant posts in various educational institutions, completion of PMGSY road projects, augmentation of drinking water supply, up-gradation of transformers, blacktopping of Ramnagar- Basantgarh road, regular ration supply and up-grading of schools.
The MLA gave patient hearing and issued directions to the concerned authorities for early redressal of the problems projected by the people. He assured that process of widening and macadamization of Ramnagar-Basantgarh road will be started soon.
He also informed that several new transformers would be shortly installed at various places of tehsil Basantgarh to augment the power supply in the area.
The MLA said that the Government Higher Secondary School Basantgarh would be developed as Model-School. He directed CAPD Department to ensure that sign boards displaying stock position, rate list and electronic weighing machine were installed in every fair price shop of the area.
The DC issued on- spot instructions to officers to ensure that demands and problems put forth by the public would be addressed in phased manner. He also disclosed that a mobile team for Aadhar enrollment would be deputed to the far flung areas of Tehsil Basantgarh for the convenience of the general public. He called upon the people to come forward and avail maximum benefits of various social security schemes which are meant for their socio economic upliftment.
