JAMMU, Apr 24: An animated Dogri poetry written and composed by renowned poet Heena Mahajan was launched in a function held here today.
The poetry was launched by Arvind Gupta (MLA, West Jammu), who graced the event as chief guest.
Gupta congratulated Heena Mahajan for her remarkable initiative.
He appreciated her strong sense of responsibility and noted that she is working ahead of her time to address the need for introducing the Dogri language to young minds.
Guest of honour, Zorawar Singh Jamwal also extended his heartfelt congratulations to Heena Mahajan, who serves as an active Co-Convener of Duggar Baradari, Team Jammu.
He assured that such meaningful initiatives for children would be widely promoted across platforms and educational institutions to provide vibrant Dogri content.
The event was further graced by the esteemed presence and blessings of Ex-Corporator Neelam Nargotra.
Among other distinguished attendees were Chairman Amit Kapoor, Vice Chairman Amita Kapoor, Reeta Gupta and Roohi Mahajan.
A vibrant celebration of language, culture and childhood creativity unfolded as Heena Mahajan, popularly known by her pen name Jammu Di Chidi, hosted this special cultural event in collaboration with EuroKids Talab Tillo, with Managing Director Ronit Kapoor as co-organizer.
The highlight of the event was the grand poster launch of “Jammu Di Chidi – Nikkade Fangdu Ucchi Udaan”, along with the release of seven animated Dogri poems: Jammu Di Chidi, Sher Te Bakri, Babru, Dido Jamwal, Akkad Bakkad Bambe Bo, Manno Billi Aayi and Manda Zoo.
This initiative marks a meaningful step towards reviving and celebrating regional language through engaging, child-friendly storytelling formats, ensuring that Dogri continues to flourish among the younger generation.
