MLA Kathua releases Rs 1 cr for development works

JAMMU, June 3: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan today released one crore out of Constituency Development Fund for undertaking developmental works in Kathua constituency.
He inaugurated developmental works in Krishna Colony, Kathua also.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan in a statement intimated that most of the works authorized last year under Constituency Developmental Scheme to the tune of 4.75 crore for installation of Borewells, construction of lanes and drains, deep covered Nallahs, protection works, relief assistance to flood affected families, construction of culverts, black topping of roads, shifting of electric utilities and assistance to houseless families have been executed and around 20 works are in different stages of completion.
He added that funds authorized today to the tune of one crore will be spent on execution of various types of developmental works in both rural and urban areas of the constituency. In addition, major works have been taken up under Housing, Urban Development, Rural Development and Public Works Department for holistic development of Kathua constituency.
