KATHUA, June 3: Rich tribute were paid to Shaheed Satpaul Singh who on his first anniversary in Kathua today.
Naib Subedar, Satpaul Singh,-son of the soil attained martyrdom while safeguarding the country on Indo-China Border somewhere in Tawang sector of Arunachal Pradesh on June 3 last year.
A simple and impressive function was organized today in Kathua by the family members and former Indian Army officers and Jawans of different ranks belonging to Kathua district to pay homage to the brave soldier of 23rd Bn of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles.
MLA Kathua, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, family members, former Indian officers and jawans, people from different walks of life, social activists, teachers, students and locals gathered to pay heartfelt tributes to the martyr for his supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation.
Floral tributes were offered to the portrait of Shaheed Satpaul Singh, and participants remembered his courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment towards safeguarding the country. School students also participated enthusiastically and raised patriotic slogans, expressing their respect for the brave son of the soil.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bharat Bhushan, MLA Kathua highlighted the invaluable sacrifices made by the country’s martyrs and urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from their lives. He emphasized that observing Shaheed Divas is not only a tribute to the martyrs but also an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of nationalism and patriotism among the youth.
