KATHUA, June 27: MLA Bani Lal Chand today inaugurated ‘Yatrika Niwas’ and various other facilities at Mela Ground Bani constructed by Lakahnpur Sarthal Development Authority.
Ex-Deputy Speaker Gulam Haider Malik, SDM Bani M.A Banday, Superintendent Engineer NHPC P.K Langar were present on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, MLA appreciated the LSDA for its initiative of constructing a Yatrika Niwas at Shakti Mata Shrine, which he said will help tourist to stay and enjoy the landscapes of Bani. He said seating facility at Mela ground will facilitate tourist and locals especially childrens and aged people.
CEO LSDA Dr Bharat Bhushan in his welcome address said the authority has taken up several projects to develop tourist infrastructure in the area to make Bani an attractive tourist destination on the state map. He said the facilities like Yatrika Niwas will attract tourist to explore the scenic beauty of the area and will also help locals economically.
He disclosed that the project of Yatrika Niwas and Seating Facility at Mela Ground is completed with an estimated cost of 50 lakh. He added that the corridor of Lakahnpur to Sarthal will be developed on the same line with more facilities to attract the tourists.
Sarpanchs, Panchs and large number of people were present on the occasion.
