JAMMU, June 27: The Government today formally scrapped New Recruitment Policy under which newly appointed non-gazetted employees had been rendered as daily wagers for the first five years of their service.
The Cabinet had on May 21 scrapped the Policy after NC-Congress coalition lost badly in the Parliament elections losing all six Lok Sabha seats in the State.
“Pursuant to the Cabinet decision, it is hereby ordered that the Government Order No. 257-F of 2011 dated 27.10.2011 prescribing fixed salary mode for the recruitment of Class-III, Class-IV and other non-gazetted categories of staff in Government and other terms and conditions of employment shall be treated as withdrawn with effect from 21.5.2014,’’ an official order issued by Principal Secretary to Government, Finance Department, BB Vyas said.
