MENDHAR, Dec 19:  National Conference Member Legislative Assembly from Mendhar, Javed Rana today claimed that he would move breach of privilege against officers of Poonch Police who were hell bent to create problems in official programme in Mendhar recently and also said that police has badly failed to take any action against criminal elements in the area.
Talking to media-persons today at Mendhar, MLA referred to the incident of Behra and said that some political faces are playing dirty politics and are blowing an issue out of proportion.  He said everything happened in front of people and nothing is hidden. “I said nothing wrong and it is known to every one there”  MLA claimed.
He added that highlighting the issues of failure of police in Poonch irritated some officers who tried to disrupt the whole function.
“I am going to bring breach of privilege in upcoming Assembly Session against them, “the MLA added.
He said that officers of police were making attempts to disrupt the official programme right from the beginning but he succeeded in foiling such attempts and prevented the whole matter from taking any ugly turn.
Alleging complete failure of policing in Poonch district, MLA said that police inaction can be gauged from the fact that a Ist Class Magistrate supervising anti-encroachment drive was beaten publically but police is has yet to take any action.
“Whole Mendhar is facing tough time due to increased activities of anti-social elements who take law into their hands but police always keep blind eye towards them” he said.
He also quoted some past instances of  lawlessness in Mendhar and said that policing has gone very weak in this Sub- Division and the  District.
Clarifying his point MLA said, “I had said that nationalist approach of people of Pir Panjal region is not due to army and police but its a natural character and also expressed strong apprehensions of attempts to disrupt peaceful atmosphere in Pir Panjal and that police seems not fully prepared to tackle such situation and my this statement has been exaggerated. “
