Mixed trend prevails in commodities market

CHENNAI, Mar 1: The prices of moong dal and sugar increased while those of gram dal and wheat declined during the week ending today at the wholesale foodgrains market here.
All other commodities ruled steady.
Moong dal opened the week at Rs 9,600, an increase of Rs 100 per quintal from its closing rates Rs 9,500 and remained steady at Rs 9,600 till its closing date today.
Opening the week at Rs 2,880, sugar price increased marginally by Rs 30 per quintal from Rs 2,850 to close the week at Rs 2,880.
The price of gram dal decreased by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 3,800 from its previous closing rate of Rs 3,900 to close at its opening rate of Rs 3,800.
Wheat opened the week at Rs 2,450, a decrease of Rs 50 per quintal from its closing rate of Rs 2,500 to finish the week at Rs 2,400.
Tur dal (Rs 7,000), urad dal (Rs 7,400), Maida (90 kg) (Rs 2,500) and Sooji (90 kg) (Rs 2,600) ruled steady throughout the week. (AGENCIES)
