UDHAMPUR, Nov 30: An elderly man, who was missing from his home in village Sorpa in Krimchi for the last five days, was today found dead in a nearby forest.
According to the reports, the deceased namely Suram Chand (65), son of Pagtu Ram of village Sorpa was found dead this morning in a forest area by some locals, who informed the police.
Police team reached the spot and shifted the dead body to mortuary room of Udhampur District Hospital. The deceased was missing from his house since November 25. Udhampur police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC and started investigation.
