JAMMU, Aug 12: The dead body of a man, who went missing few days back, was recovered today from a canal in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts.
“The semi-decomposed body of an unknown man was recovered today from a canal near Simbal Head”, a police official said, adding it was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for identification/postmortem.
He said later the deceased was identified as Jagdish Raj (55) son of Mela Ram, resident of Bakshi Nagar, who was missing since August 7. “The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter”, he added.
