RAMBAN, July 11: Miscreants attacked a man and slit his throat before escaping from the spot.
As per police sources, a man identified as Mohammad Yousaf of village Dhara Kunfer was kidnapped and attacked by some miscreants near his residence.
With the intention to kill the person, the miscreants slit his throat and later escaped from the spot.
The victim’s wife Aamina Begum found her husband with slit throat near her residence and informed the police.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person to District Hospital Ramban, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
A case under FIR Number 53/19 under section 364 and 307 RPC and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote and hunt has been launched to arrest the miscreants.
However, no arrest was made till last reports were compiled.
