JAMMU, July 12: The UT Government today relieved IPS officer Abdul Ghani Mir, who has been posted as IG Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on deputation basis for an initial period of five years.
He was relieved to take up the new assignment.
Meanwhile, Deepak Kumar, Director General of Prosecution will hold charge of the post of Managing Director J&K Police Housing Corporation till further orders in addition to his own duties, according to an order issued by the Home Department.
