JAMMU, July 29: Youth Congress today organized two-day State level training programme ‘Buniyadi’ here today which was inaugurated by JKPCC president GA Mir.
On the occasion, senior Congress leader and former minister Raman Bhalla; Ravinder Sharma, spokesperson J&K Congress; IYC general secretary Sitaram Lamba; IYC secretary Jagdev Gaga and Uday Bhanu Chib, president JKPYC were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, Mir appreciated the efforts of Youth Congress for holding such training programme which is need of the hour to develop leadership qualities among the party cadre. He encouraged the Youth Congress activities to remain in public to address the their issues at grass roots level besides making them aware about the hollow policies of the BJP Government at the Centre.
Former minister Raman Bhalla said, “Failed on all fronts, BJP now is indulging into lowest level of politics by raking up groundless and concocted issues to deflect people’s attention from the disastrous performance of its leadership which is steering the nation.”
He slammed Tarun Chug for raising emotive issues and relying on tantrums to hide BJP’s misrule and blunders that were monumental in the last nearly seven years. He said that deep inside their hearts all the BJP leaders know well that they are good for nothing as their promises have fallen flat with not even a single success story to tell to the country.
“Deception and deflection are the traits of BJP leadership which is helping them out to face the public otherwise lowest ever GDP, nose diving of diplomatic relations with all the neighbouring countries including Nepal, mismanagement of COVID-19 pandemic, unethical snooping through Pegasus spyware, untamed terrorists, worried farmers, frustrated educated jobless youths and disgruntled security forces personnel are few of so-called achievements of the saffron party which never gets tired of self-praise and raising fingers against political opponents,” he added.
Ravinder Sharma condemned BJP for raking up unfounded issues to divert the attention of people from the issues which are of common interest and BJP has miserably failed to address any of them. He said that Congress party has a legacy of sacrifices and BJP which was never in the scene of freedom struggle has no moral right to defame it.
Uday Chib said that this training programme has been conceived for Youth Congress office bearers including state, district and assembly level youth Congress activists to enable them to become key cogs in strengthening the party. “This training programme will develop leadership qualities among the cadre. National president and National Incharge Youth Congress from Delhi will address the State Level training programme tomorrow”, he said.
