JAMMU, May 31: A minor girl daughter of a migrant labourer hailing from Madhya Pradesh was allegedly raped in Gharota area of the winter capital.
As per reports, a 10-year-old girl, resident of Madhya Pradesh, at present putting up at Gharota, was allegedly raped by the a migrant labourer identified as Baij Nath, resident of Bihar.
The girl was raped on May 29 but her family lodged the complaint today following which a case an FIR number 49/13 under Section 376 RPC has been registered at Gharota police station.
The medical examination of the victim has confirmed the rape, while a manhunt has been launched to apprehend the absconding accused.
