JAMMU, Dec 24: A minor girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with ceiling fan in Sector Number 2 Roop Nagar area falling under the jurisdiction of Janipur Police Station, a police official said.
The deceased has been identified as Shivangi Chib (14), daughter of Jagjit Singh, a resident of Mehmood Nagar Tehsil Bishnah.
The body has been shifted to morgue of GMCH Jammu for autopsy, which will be conducted tomorrow.
Janipur police has taken cognizance in this regards.
