JAMMU, Jan 30: Police today rescued a minor girl hailing from Uttar Pradesh and arrested a kidnapper from Greater Kailash area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gangyal police station.
As per police sources, father of the minor girl hailing from Uttar Pradesh lodged a complaint with police station Loni, Uttar Pradesh that her minor daughter has been kidnapped by Bir Paul Singh of district Bulandpur.
Acting on the complaint, a case under FIR number 2395/2014 under Section 363 and 366 IPC was registered against the accused at police station Loni and investigation started.
On some reliable information, police team from Gangyal police station conducted a raid in a house at Greater Kailash and rescued the minor girl and arrested the accused.
The minor girl and kidnapper were handed over to Uttar Pradesh police for further investigation.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal police station Inspector Ajay Jamwal made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
