UDHAMPUR, Dec 26: Demanding special package for mini bus owners, the Mini Buses Union today held a strong protest demonstration.
Shouting slogans in support of their demand, they staged a dharna and suspended operations of the mini buses.
A large number of mini bus owners, drivers and conductors participated in the protest demonstration, which was organized under the leadership of Matador Union President Darshan Singh.
Darshan Singh said that all the mini bus owners have been put to heavy loss during six months of lockdown. “As we followed all the guidelines and SOPs despite bearing losses, a special package should be given by the Government to mini bus owners so that we can at least get our vehicles repaired,” he said.
The union appealed Lt Governor of J&K to personally intervene into the matter for justice to the minibus owners.
