Militants’ letter vindicates PK’s stand on homeland: Dr Chrungoo

JAMMU, Aug 6: Expressing grave concern over the threat letter by a militant outfit to migrant employees putting up at Sheikhpora quarters in Valley, Panun Kashmir said that Pandit employees in Valley feel totally scared and unsafe.
PK president, Dr Ajay Chrungoo at a press conference here today said the letter has vindicated the stand of his organization on homeland and PK will forcefully launch a movement for achievement of the goal.
He expressed his serious concern over the letter of the dreaded militant outfit to the Pandit community members at Sheikhpora on August 2 asking them to leave the Valley within week’s time.
He said the threat letter has scared the migrant employees in Valley and many female employees have approached them that they be posted outside the Valley for security reasons.
Dr Chrungoo while commenting on the Jaish letter said “it is matter of extreme concern for us that the security situation for the Kashmiri Hindu employees recruited as per PM’s employment package has become extremely fragile and vicious. In a scenario of increasing separatist leadership and those at the helm of affairs in the Government , seem to be merely indulging in flaunting public postures to escape responsibility in case some thing untoward happens” he added.
He said the Government is treating the threats as either bogus or not of any serious nature. The result is the increased attrition for the new recruits who took the risk of joining in Valley only to respond to their destitution and deprivation, he added.
Dr Chrungoo said PK has maintained a consistent stance that the return policy adopted by the Governments in the State and at the Centre is not even remotely connected with accomplishing the return of the internally displaced Kashmiri Hindus. The policy only aims to give a cosmetic facelift to the ugly and regressive separatist movement in Valley, he added.
The PK leaders including Dr M K Teng, ON Trisal and Kuldeep Raina were present in the press conference.
