JAMMU, July 12: Police today recovered body of a militant floating in a river at village Daddal in Sunderbani sector of Rajouri district where two Army soldiers were martyred and two militants killed in an encounter last week.
Reports said the villagers saw a body floating in the river at Daddal and informed police. The body was recovered by the cops.
The dead man was wearing combat dress similar to the one the two slain militants were wearing who were killed at Daddal. Police also recovered 10 AK bullets and one packet of dry fruit from the pocket of slain militant.
Sources said the militant seems to have been killed in the same encounter but his body couldn’t be recovered along with his two associates. The body was washed away by flash flood and was recovered from the river.
