NEW DELHI, May 21:
Earthquake of mild intensity hit various parts of the country including North Eastern region, National Capital Region and some areas in southern belts.
Though no details of the intensity are available, so far, reports reaching here said the epicentre was located near Paradip Garh of Odisha.
Tremors were felt here around 2158 hrs and lasted for a few seconds.
Reports said tremors triggered panic in various parts of West Bengal and Odisha and people came out from their houses mainly high rise buildings in urban pockets.
People in various pockets of Jharkhand and Bihar also felt tremors and panic stricken families came out in streets.
In Delhi and it’s nearby areas, people came out after experiencing tremors apprehending after shocks.
No loss of lives and property was reported so far. Fishermen have been alerted with a caution that they should not move to sea due to turbulence. (AGENCIES)
