JAMMU, Oct 3: The Kashmiri migrant unemployed youth who are on protest for last two days termed the recent announcement of the Governor administration regarding fresh notification inviting applications from Kashmir migrant youths quite uncalled for.
A group of aggrieved candidates who had already gone through the selection process and who had knocked the doors of justice, have been ignored. Fighting for their legitimate rights for long time they alleged that with this announcement they have been backstabbed. “We have no reservation about who gets job out of this recent quota of 1997 posts. Whosoever is appointed we shall have no grudge against anyone, but our resentment is against the present regime who has not taken into consideration our long pending demands and our legitimate rights most of the aggrieved candidates among those 45 of 2017 are court cases candidates who have crossed the upper age limit and shall not be in a position to apply in future”, said the agitating candidates.

“We are total of 45 meritorious left out candidates whose particulars were also forwarded by SSRB to DMRR&R Department and whose legitimate demands have also been recognized by the concerned recruiting agencies”, they added.
They alleged to add fuel to fire, the Government on 23.09.20 announced fresh 1997 posts without clearing the previous quota this is simply a ploy to exclude the aggrieved candidates.
The protestors said “ The aggrieved candidates have been fighting for their legitimate demands for the last three years,. We have left no stone unturned to get the demands fulfilled ,but all in vain. Despite knocking the doors of concerned authorities at Civil Secretariat, the people at the helm of affairs always turned deaf ear to our pleas, Even the Civil Secretariat administration has endorsed that the demands of the candidates which are legitimate and a written communication also stands issued by them. However, it provided mere a lip service and nothing else”.
They said “We had also approached the Lt Governor’s administration and the LG also extended his assurance to us. Despite all these positive developments, nothing substantial materialized and our legitimate demands have been sabotaged,. We appeal the Governor administration to look into the matter personally and provide justice to 45 of 2017 meritorious candidates who had fought a long legal battle and now who had been left out and excluded”.
