JAMMU, July 13: Migrant PHE employees have been denied salaries for last five month.
In a statement issued here, today they said that despite repeated pleas to concerned authorities they failed to release their salaries with the result the displaced employees of the Department are on the verge of starvation.
President All Displaced Kashmiri Employees Forum (ADKEF), M K Tickoo has urged the Government to take immediate steps in releasing the salaries to the hapless employees without further delay by sorting out the issue. Tickoo said the problem cropped up after the PHE City Divisions were handed over to Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and the Corporation did not take steps to include their name as they were also getting salaries form PHE Division Jammu.
He said these employees are facing hard days as they are unable to bear the expenses of their school and college going children. He said thought eh issue was brought in the notice of concerned authorities umpteen times they failed to settle it for reasons best known to them.
Tickoo has sought immediate intervention of Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha urging him to issue directives to concerned departments to sort out their issue and release their pending salaries without further delay.
