Migrant employees living in pathetic conditions: Bakshi

JAMMU, Sept 1: NSUI leader and social activist, Advocate Nitin Bakshi has alleged that the employees appointed under PM Migrant Employees Package were living in pathetic conditions at the accommodations provided by the Relief Department.
On one hand, Government is making tall claims for the rehabilitation and resettlement of Kashmiri Pandits back in the Valley but on the other hand, Relief Department is providing them accommodation, which is fit only for flock of sheep and goats,” he said while addressing a press conference, here today.
He alleged that the poor employees were being stacked in the number of two to three persons in two rooms where they find very tough to live. He also alleged that a migrant couple at Nikas Employees Colony was manhandled by a top officer of Relief and Rehabilitation Department, Kashmir division,
Mr Bakshi appealed to the Chief Minister and Relief Commissioner to look into the matter and take appropriate action against the accused officer
