Gang of thieves busted; stolen motorcycles, gold ornaments recovered

JAMMU, Sept 1: Police busted a gang of thieves with the arrest of six burglars and recovery of 4 stolen motorcycles, gold ornaments and other items from their possession. Apart from this, police also arrested three criminals wanted in attempt to murder cases vis-à-vis a bootlegger.
This was disclosed by SP Headquarters, Randheer Singh, during a press conference at RS Pura police station here this afternoon.
He stated that, RS Pura police led by SHO Bhushan Manhas laid a naka and recovered a stolen motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AF-0424 from the possession of Vikram Choudhary, son of Ajul Choudhary and Karnail Singh alias Junni, son of Bachana Singh, both residents of Nari, Miran Sahib. During questioning, police also recovered three motorcycles bearing registration numbers JK02AP-9620 (Hero Honda Passion), JK02AB-5872 (Hero Honda Passion) and without registration number TVS Star City. With the arrest of accused, police solved a case registered under FIR Number 104/15 under Section 379-RPC, he added.
He further disclosed that, police team from RS Pura police station also arrested a thief, who has been identified as Rashpal alias Bulli, son of Joginder Singh of Chandu Chack, RS Pura. He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 184/2014 with RS Pura police station. From his possession, stolen items including one laptop, one wrist watch and two gold rings were recovered, SP added.
Moreover, police team from RS Pura police station also arrested three thieves and recovered stolen gold ring from their possession. The accused were involved in a case registered under FIR Number 182/14. They have been identified as Akshay Kumar, son of Beli Ram of Bishnah, Pinka Kumar alias Kaka, son of Subash Chander of Abdullian, RS Pura and Rashpal, son of Joginder Singh of Chandu Chak, RS Pura, SP Randheer Singh maintained.
“RS Pura police also arrested a person along with sharp-edged weapon ‘toka’. He has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Khazan Chand of Banota, RS Pura. He was involved in a case registered under FIR Number 127/15 under Section 307 RPC, 4/25 Arms Act with police station RS Pura. Two notorious criminal identified as Bhopinder Singh, son of Pragat Singh of Phinder and Pawan Kumar, son of Ashok Kumar of Chatha were also arrested in a case registered under FIR Number 80/15 under Section 307 RPC”, Mr Singh stated.
A team from Bishnah police station led by SHO Inspector Surinder Singh conducted raid in the fields at Kotli Charkan and recovered 25 litres of illicit liquor. The owner of the fields identified as Mangal Dass, son of Sardari Lal of Kotli Charkan, Bishnah, was also arrested. A case under FIR Number 131/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered and investigation started.
