MGNREGA employees hold protest rally

KATHUA, July 14: The All J&K MGNREGA Employees Association held a protest rally in support of their demands here, today.
The rally started from BDO Office Kathua and concluded at DC Office. It was led by provincial president of the Association, Sandeep Kalotra and district president Rockey Singh. They raised the slogans in front of DC Office in favour of their demands.
While highlighting the demands, they stressed on framing the job policy and absorbing them in Department as many permanent post are lying vacant in the Department. District president,  Rokey Singh appeal the Governor of State to solve their long pending grievances as the works in BDO offices are going to suffer due to the strike. He said that if their demands were not full filled the indefinite strike would continue
They later submitted a memorandum of demands addressed to Governor to ACR, Kathua and demanded early consideration of the same.
It said and MGNREGA workers don’t want to add to the problems of people due to strike.
