JAMMU: The meteorological department has predicted hailstorm and thunderstorm in Jammu plains tomorrow while weather is likely to improve.
“If sun shines in the morning tomorrow, then hailstorm with thunderstorm is also predicted in Jammu plains,” Sonam Lotus, Director, MeT Department here said.
He said that the day will be partially cloudy, adding that the weather will improve after evening. “The weather will be fair on March 15, 16 and 17 but will again deteriorate from March 18,” said Dr Lotus.
The Director said that western disturbance hit J&K on Friday but it will remain weakened for couple of days, adding, “as it is going to hit the mountainous belt from March 18 and heavy rain will lash.”
The weatherman, however, also predicted fresh snowfall on higher reaches, thus dipping the temperature by a few degrees. (AGENCIES)
