JAMMU, July 7: Diyansh Nagyal– a meritorious student of class 12th today got an opportunity to act as SDPO Akhnoor and know closely about working of police.
The initiative was taken by SDPO Akhnoor, Ajay Sharma to motivate and encouraged the meritorious students of the area to join police force.
Divyansh had scored 98 % marks in class 12 exams, the result of which was conducted recently by JKBOSE. As promised yesterday by the SDPO Akhnoor, Divyansh was today invited office of SDPO Akhnoor, where he interacted with the office staff and act as SDPO for some hours.
Later, Divyansh was taken to police station Akhnoor, where he interacted with SHO Akhnoor and other police officials. He was briefed about the working condition of police and their mode of working. He also paid field visit with police officials.
While sharing his experiences as SDPO Akhnoor, Divyansh said that he had many negative thoughts about police but in few hours of their company, he came to know how challenging the role of police in society is. There is no time and no arrangement of food for the police officials unlike other forces but they still perform their duties while facing odd weather conditions.
Divyansh said today he saw other side of the police which is very polite and sympathetic and at the same time very strict with criminals and those who break laws. “I cannot forget this 1st hand experience of police working. It was a memorable event,” he said, and expressed gratitude to the SDPO Akhnoor to provide this unique opportunity to him.
