SRINAGAR, May 2: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President Mehbooba Mufti has constituted a high-level committee for the expansion and strengthening of the party in Jammu and Kashmir, with senior leader Dr Mehboob Beg appointed as its head.
According to party sources, the committee includes former minister Advocate Abdul Haq Khan, former minister Peerzada Mansoor, former MLC Yasir Reshi and Pulwama MLA Waheed-ur-Rehman Para as members.
The move is being seen as significant as the PDP looks to revive its cadre base and widen its organisational reach across the Union Territory.
