MEF holds conference, nominates body for block Bishnah

JAMMU, Nov 27: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (MEF) organized fourth one day historical conference at block Bishnah under the chairmanship of its president Sushil Sudan and secretary general Vinod Kumar Sharma.
In the conference, hundred of employees of Health Department participated and discussed genuine demands and highlighted problems.
The demands highlighted by the leaders were amendment of SRO-20, permanent situation of salary head 2211 and under pending salary of employees working under this head, posts of district pharmacy/ block pharmacy officer should be created/upgraded, enhancement of FTA from Rs 45 per month to Rs 1000 per month in favor of basic health employees and issuance of  RMP after retirement.
The other demands, which were also discussed included clearing the DPC of laboratory/Dental/X-ray/ophthalmic and all paramedical staff working in health and family welfare department, creation the post of LHV in new PHC and give staff quota of health educator to trained LHVs working in health and family welfare department, creation of posts of section officers at all CMO’s office and posts of head assistants at block level, filling-up the posts of CHOs in new PHCs in Health Department, increase in uniform duty allowance of nursing staff and over time allowance to all such be given who are performing 12 hours night duty as per labor law.
During the conference, the office bearers of MEF for Bishnah block were also nominated. Ved Paul Saini was nominated as president, Vijay Kumar Thapa as senior vice president/working president, Jas Rani, Amarjeet and Sanjeev Kumar as junior vice presidents, Rakesh Kumar as general secretary, Sohan Lal as cahier, Meenu Sharma, Sajad Ali and Sunita Kumar as joint secretaries, Urmila Kumari as office secretary, Neelam Devi, Sarso Devi and Sudershana as publicity secretaries and Sodagar Mal as chief advisor.
Surjeet Kumar, Ved Kumar, Tarsem Lal, Dalip Kumar, Surjeet Kumar Saini and Soni Choudhary were nominated as advisors, Ghara Ram, Mohammad Farooq, Rakesh Kumar and Chand Masih as organizers, Sunny Kumar, Geeta Devi, Surjeet Kumar and Reetu Gupta were nominated as members.
Jarnail Chowdhary, Paramjeet Singh and many others expressed their views during the conference.
