Ganga for active participation of people in development process

SAMBA, Nov 27: Stressing on active participation of the people in the development process, Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga said that people should actively monitor the ongoing  works being executed in their  areas to keep a check on quality of works.
This was stated by the Minister after launching development works worth Rs 12 lakh in Bari Brahmana area which includes construction of a deep drain at Channi Kartholi  being executed by Directorate of Local Bodies and   in Dholian which would be executed by the Municipal Committee Bari Brahmana.
The Minister said the people of the area were facing lot of hardships due to bad condition of lanes and drains and the works being executed would provide better facilities to the people. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that the works get completed within the stipulated time frame and quality standards are maintained while executing the development works.
Ganga said the Government has delivered on ground and aspirations of the people are being addressed by the present dispensation. “People are appreciating the development initiatives of the Government and its mission of providing a transparent and corruption free administration,” he added.
Reiterating the commitment of Government for all round development of the State, Ganga said liberal funding has been provided by the Central Government for various sectors and the funds would be utilized for launching as well as completing the development projects all over the state.
Concerned officers of the executing agencies and general public in large number were present on the occasion.
