Medicare in Govt hospitals

Sir,
It is really  surprising that the Govt makes a lot of drum beating in public meetings about the Medicare facilities being provided to the people in the Govt hospitals. But the situation at the ground is altogether different. People do not get these services in the Govt run hospitals as was reported in this paper sometime back that the two Laproscopic machines in GMC were out of order for the last three weeks and one  in Superspeciality Hospital is also out of order. Thus, leaving the serious patients without any alternative for the treatment. The carelessness on the part of the people responsible for all this must be taken to task. In other words, the present system encourages the medical  facilities available in the market.
The Govt. must take some necessary steps to make the machinery functional so that the poor and helpless patients especially those coming from the far flung areas, who are not in position to pay for the treatment in the open market, get treated well.
Yours etc….
