POONCH, Apr 20: As part of the ongoing “Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan”, Police Station Mendhar, in coordination with the Drug Control Officer and Executive Magistrate, carried out a joint inspection of medical shops in the Sangala and Ari areas to ensure strict compliance with norms governing the sale of medicines.
During the drive, teams inspected Ashwani Medical Shop and Shafiq Medical Hall in Sangala, along with M/s Wajid Medicos in Ari. The inspection focused on adherence to regulatory provisions such as proper maintenance of sale records, computerized billing, and the functioning of CCTV surveillance systems.
During scrutiny, M/s Wajid Medicos (Druggist & Chemist), Ari, was found violating prescribed norms issued by the competent regulatory authority.
Acting swiftly, the Executive Magistrate, in the presence of the Drug Control Officer, ordered the sealing of the establishment on the spot.
